Fifth UAP Report Released by Pentagon, Mathew Brown on the Challenges of Being a Whistleblower
Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb isn’t connived that there’s a secret base for UFOs on the moon.

The U.S. Department of War released its fifth batch of declassified files on UAP on August 7. Part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) initiative, this release features 41 new files — including 19 videos, historical memos dating back to 1950, CIA notes, and FBI artist renderings.
If you watch Richard Dolan’s ‘UAP Tranche 5: If You Think There’s Nothing Here, Look Again,’ he examines some remarkable contemporary and historical cases. Dolan has been a leading UFO researcher and historian.
One part of the tranche shows a Special Operations AC-130 encounter with multiple “cold orbs” over the Gulf of Oman on Sept. 8, 2021. It has six video clips and an accompanying intelligence report. The crew had dropped a flare at night as part of a routine patrol, and they saw two objects near the ocean. A gunner was getting ready to fire at the objects, which suddenly took off. The crew eventually saw about 25 objects at different times. They were clearly flying together at up to 1,300 miles per hour. There were no visible means of propulsion, Dolan reported.
Another incident involved a 1964 Navy pursuit of a delta-shaped object tracked above 3,800 knots in the USS Gyatt destroyer; another part of the tranche shows new material surrounding the USS Omaha encounter; and then, extraordinary FBI reports are shown involving enormous triangular objects, close encounters, thermal detections, and a bizarre five-hour event in the western U.S.; and newly assembled historical records showing how seriously the U.S. military was privately treating the UFO problem as far back as the 1940s and 1950s.
The USS Omaha UAP encounter took place on July 15th, 2019, about 100 miles west of San Diego. Jeremy Corbel first brought material from this encounter to the public in 2021. The Pentagon later confirmed that the footage was recorded by Navy personnel and was examined by the UAP task force at that time. Corbell was able to show a memorable part where one when the object splashes into the water. Another video segment in this tranche shows an earlier stage of the encounter.
NewsNation reported on the tranche including several documents related to a 1963 incident in Brazil, including a State Department cable discussing a local news report about a large metal balloon that crashed, with a dead crew member wearing a spacesuit with strange markings. A second State Department cable stated that Brazil’s Ministry of Aeronautics categorically denied any strange objects, the news source reported.
The challenge of being a whistleblower: ”I was there primarily to hear about an ODNI-sponsored (Office of the Director of National Intelligence) whistleblower protection program. That was never offered,” said whistleblower Mathew Brown on the ‘Good Trouble Show with Matt Ford’ podcast.
Brown is a former national security contractor, first at the Dept. of Defense (now the Dept. of War), and later at the State Dept., working the weapons of mass destruction mission. He previously revealed the Immaculate Constellation secret military intelligence report. He blew the whistle to Congress, and said he would testify under oath if they asked him, but they never asked him to do so. He’s now a co-founder of Vanguard Enterprise, a nonprofit building legal, financial, medical, psychological and community support for UAP whistleblowers; he started up Vanguard Enterprises with fellow whistleblower Dylan Borland.
The Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence has recently told UAP whistleblowers they can come forward through cleared channels: AARO, ODNI, and the PURSUE team. Brown says there is nothing really new in that announcement.
Brown previously handed over documentation and was ghosted. Then he learned he was being called a fabricator, news that came to him while attending a friend’s wedding. He and his wife also experienced a home break-in, where some strange things occurred and the message was clear: he was being watched.
Brown trusts Rep. Eric Burlison’s (R-MO) efforts, but he isn’t confident about what Burlison is working on for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) will get through Congress in December. It could be part of the whole Dept. of War trillion dollar-plus budget and related bills and amendments attached to all of it in the NDAA. Burlison is pushing for federal transparency on UAPs. He has advocated and pushed forward on a UAP disclosure framework as an amendment to the NDAA, and he actively supports whistleblower communication channels in Congress.
What’s on the moon?: Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb will be disappointing several UFOlogists, including those working in the Main Astronomical Observatory near Kyiv in Ukraine. These researchers think there’s a secret base for UFOs on the moon. That came from analyzing high-speed photographs taken last summer. The Ukrainian team says they observed two types of anomalies: “atmospheric” objects that were stationary and “continental” objects that appeared to move over the moon’s surface.
“UFOs are observed on Earth and in near-Earth space. We believe that the moon serves as a base for UFOs,” researchers said in their study.
Loeb said the team used a six-inch telescope to obtain their data, whereas a research project of this sort ideally would use multiple telescopes for comparison purposes. Their work has not been peer-viewed yet, but Loeb has felt the need to express his concerns.
Bigelow on Trump meeting: Las Vegas billionaire Robert Bigelow talked to 8 News Now investigative reporter George Knapp about a meeting he had with President Donald Trump in February regarding UFO disclosure. He met with Trump and staff secretary William Scharf for a session that lasted about an hour and 20 minutes. Bigelow says had a few complex subjects including disclosure on the topic of UAPs and ETs to cover, obviously a very limited amount of time to dig into this subject matter. Bigelow has been a supporter of Trump, and reiterated that he had very little he could reveal about that meeting, especially what Trump said.
“I told him I wanted him to say verbatim and I but you stop and talk to the media and you might say something like, ‘I just want you to hear something. I want to make a statement…. a non-human intelligent presence has been on Earth for a very long time using spacecraft and with performances completely beyond our capabilities and our human physics,’” Bigelow said in the interview with Knapp.
Bigelow is an American businessman, real estate developer, and aerospace entrepreneur. He owns the extended-stay hotel chain Budget Suites of America and founded the space technology company Bigelow Aerospace, as well as the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies. In 1996, he purchased Skinwalker Ranch, a 512-acre cattle ranch located in Utah that is the site of purported paranormal phenomena, such as inter-dimensional shape-shifters, for $200,000. In 2016, Bigelow sold the ranch to Brandon Fugal for $4 million.
In December 2017, Bigelow was reported by The New York Times to have urged then-Nevada U.S. Senator Harry Reid to initiate what became the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, a government study which operated from 2007 to 2012 tasked with the study of UFOs. According to that article, Bigelow said he was “absolutely convinced” that extraterrestrial life exists and that extraterrestrials have visited Earth.
Letter from the Editor
There’s a story that goes back to the 1500s where a South American indigenous tribe couldn’t see the Spanish naval fleet coming in to the shore. It took a shaman from the tribe to see it, describe it, and believe it was real, for the tribe’s chief and other members to see it. By then they were overrun and many of them slaughtered, the story goes.
Whether it’s true or not, it’s quite a story. What if the UFOs are out there and people like me can’t see them? But somehow we believe it. It’s like a switch that was thrown for me in the spring of 2023, where I did believe it was real. This theme comes out in ‘Chris Ramsay Reveals the UFO Claims He Actually Believes’ by That UFO Podcast host Andy McGrillin recently interviewing Ramsay. Ramsay made some clear and logical comments about the battle between UAP Gerb and Lue Elizondo; and the overall experience he’s had. He thinks that the truth won’t be coming out for a really long time, but we still have to go forward on the quest. Don’t forget to take some time off and have fun, too, he suggests.

Quantum entanglement is a common term these days. What’s it about?
It’s defined as being a physical phenomenon where pairs or groups of particles interact in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the others, even when the particles are separated by vast distances. Measuring a property on one particle instantly determines the result for the entangled partner, according the Caltech Science Exchange. For some people, it could explain how orbs and other spacecraft can suddenly appears, disappear, reappear, show up close to the Earth, than far out in the atmosphere, and then disappear again. Another spacecraft could be billions of miles away doing the same thing, but it’s actually a duality of the ship that earthlings see. That’s just one theory, though.
